For reservations call the hotel at 888-814-3669 and mention you will be driving your Tesla to the event. The regional TV station and other media will be covering the event. Free food and beverages will be served at the event from the La Pachanga Mexican Restaurant that is located next to the hotel.
There are two 80 amp Tesla High Power Charging Connectors plus one 40 amp J1772 EV Charger available free to the public 24/7 at self-parking spaces behind the Depot Inn & Suites hotel. Though the Ribbon Cutting is not until Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 4pm, all 3 chargers are operational and available to the public right now. You can find them from the "FIND US" "Destination Charging" tab on the Tesla Motors website and on the Destination Chargers Tab on the Navigation Screen in your Tesla vehicle. You do not have to be a hotel guest to use the chargers. While charging you are welcome to free coffee and free Wifi in the large and comfortable hotel lobby. A hotel restroom is also available. The Silver Rails Country Tourist Information Center is also located in the hotel lobby.
The Depot Inn & Suites is 177 miles from the Tesla Supercharger in St. Charles, Missouri. Take I-70 west about 95 miles to Columbia. Then take Highway 63 north about 82 miles to the Depot Inn & Suites at 1245 N Brown St, La Plata, Missouri. You will be able to see the hotel from the highway. It is the second exit in La Plata on the left. Drive around to the rear of the hotel to either of the two Tesla Destination Charging parking spots and just plug in!
The Depot Inn & Suites is 176 miles from the Tesla Supercharger in Independence, Missouri. Take I-36 north about 42 miles to Cameron. Take Highway 36 east about 95 miles to Macon. Take Highway 63 north about 21 miles to the Depot Inn & Suites at 1245 N Brown St, La Plata, Missouri. You will be able to see the hotel from the highway. It is the second exit in La Plata on the left. Drive around to the rear of the hotel to either of the two Tesla Destination Charging parking spots and just plug in!
The Depot Inn & Suites is 179 miles from the Tesla Supercharger in Springfield, Illinois, and 175 miles from the Tesla Supercharger in Independence, Missouri, close to Kansas City. Stopping at this La Plata Tesla Destination Charging Location might for now be the shortest and fastest way between Chicago and Kansas City and points beyond.
To get to the Depot Inn & Suites take I-55 southwest out of Chicago to the Tesla Supercharger in Normal, Illinois, about 132 miles. Continue on I-55 southwest to the Tesla Supercharger in Springfield, Illinois, about 73 miles Take I-72 west continuing on Highway 36 for about 160 miles to Highway 63 in Macon, Missouri. Take Highway 63 north about 21 miles to the Depot Inn & Suites at 1245 N Brown St, La Plata, Missouri. You will be able to see the hotel from the highway. It is the second exit in La Plata on the left. Drive around to the rear of the hotel to either of the two Tesla Destination Charging parking spots and just plug in! If you are continuing on to Kansas City and southwest points beyond, the next Tesla Supercharger is located at Independence, Missouri, 176 miles from the Depot Inn & Suites.
