I can't help it if I'm a bumper sticker fanatic!

The bumpers stickers are the same both on my 2016 Tesla Model X P90D and my wife's 2016 Tesla Model S P85D.

Keep Portland Weird!: We live in Vancouver, Washington, but we love Portland, Oregon, which is just a ten minute drive from our home. I lived in Portland for 3 months in 1970 before moving back to Massachusettes where I had lived from the time I was born in 1951 until we moved to California in 1979. We then lived in California from 1979 until 2011, but in all that time I have never forgotten about Portland. So, we moved to Vancouver, Washington, just outside of Portland, Oregon, in 2011. Have you ever watched Portlandia? That TV series is based on the assumption that Portland is still like the 1990's. I don't remember anything unique about the 1990's, but to my wife and I, Portland is still like it was in the hippie times of the 1970's, when I spent 3 months there. What we love about Portland is all the live jazz music, the wine bars, the independent films, the craft brew pubs, the art, and the restaurants that know how to make fantastic and delicious veggie items. The moto of the city is Keep Portland Weird!. Vancouver, Washington, itself is quickly catching up with Portland in local culture. Visit my web page that is all about Vancouver at: InTownVancouver.com.

Sun Powered - All Electric Car Charged From Solar Panels: People still ask me to show them the solar panels on the roof of the car. There are none. The bumper sticker doesn't say the car is charged from solar panels on the roof, just that it is charged from solar panels. In Vancouver we belong to a community solar project that generates plenty of electricty to charge our Tesla cars. At our vacation house in Anaheim we have solar panels on the roof of our house that provide enough electricty to charge our Tesla vehicles. Our rough calculations show that we pay about 9 cents per KWH for the electricity generated by our solar panels which translates to a cost of about 2 to 3 cents per mile to fuel our Tesla vehciles. This is pretty cheap compared to the 20 to 30 cents per mile it costs to operate our Toyota Sienna Minivan!

Seattle Seahawks emblem: I've never been much of a football fan. But, when my local football team was well on the path to winning the Superbowl in 2014, I quickly became a major fan and cheered them on through to their win! I then followed them right to the last few seconds of their Superbowl game in 2015. If you don't know how that one turned out, look it up.
